Like it or not, the iPhone 4 is one of the most popular cameras in the world. Sitting in the pockets of millions of people around the world it has become the most used camera on Flickr.
So when Apple announced it was updating the phone -- it was also a big deal for the photographic world.
Humbly saying it: "just might be the best camera ever on a mobile phone" Apple seemingly know they are onto a winner with this camera
And a quick look over the tech specs suggests the iPhone 4S camera won't disappoint, it's got 8 megapixels, all-new f/2.4 optics and even face detection.
There's also a backside illumination sensor designed to let in more light, instant access to the camera app from the lock screen and the joys of HDR.
Should that not be enough there's also the option to use Photo Stream in iCloud to automatically send new photos to all devices and the fact the camera is powered by an A5 chip and iOS 5.
