Photoshop Touch finally released for iPad

Last year ago we were blown away by the idea of a "fully functional" version of Photoshop on the iPad -- sure we'd already got Photoshop Express on our tablet, but we wanted more.

Well after 11 months of repeatably asking Adobe "Are we nearly there yet?" they have rolled out Photoshop Touch at MWC 2012 in Barcelona -- and it's a corker!

Sure it's not quite the same Photoshop you know from your PC or Mac, but it's not far off and is certainly a set up from all those photo apps which consist of a few naff filters.

A spokesperson for Adobe said: "The new Adobe Photoshop Touch app lets you quickly combine images, apply professional effects, share the results with friends and family through social networking sites like Facebook, and more — all from the convenience of your iPad."

Features include:

• Use popular Photoshop features designed for the tablet such as layers, selection tools, adjustments, and filters to create mind-blowing images.  • Use your iPad camera to fill an area on a layer with the unique camera fill feature. • Select part of an image to extract by scribbling with the Scribble Selection tool. • Search and acquire images with the integrated Google Image Search. • Share images on Facebook and view comments right within the app. • Use AirPrint for wireless printing of Photoshop Touch projects. • Upload projects to Adobe Creative Cloud
