Strap-based lens cap holder gets funding

There probably isn't a photographer out there who hasn't lost a lens cap, or at least spent too long trying to remember where they placed one.

Which is why it's surprising that this strap-based lens cap holder wasn't invented sooner… and why we think it could be a huge success.

Invented by Mark Stevenson from Chicago, and currently being funded on Kickstarter, the device attaches to your camera strap and features a circular recess to clip your lens cap into.

He says each cap holder can hold three or four different lens cap sizes with a friction fit, in the same fashion as attaching the cap to the lens.

Mark says he came up with the idea after losing two lens caps himself and has since spent nine months developing four prototypes into the final design.
